Man From Canada Becomes Lottery Winner of 1 Million Following the Burning of His Family’s Residence in Wildfires
In the previous year or so, Bill Pendergast has experienced bad luck. However, now things have greatly improved.
On Friday, the Canadian man received an enormous check for $1 million. He received this payment after his ticket won the Atlantic Lottery Corp.
He and Carrie his spouse lost their house and whatever it contained to wildfires in 2016, which tore through their Fort McMurray town in Alberta.
His latest windfall of money is going to help greatly in rebuilding their home.
During the check event on Friday, he remarked, ‘Looking at all those zeroes in the bank account is extremely overwhelming.’
He purchased the ticket while on a journey to see is ailing dad, on a lark. His father requested him to stop and buy him a chilled 7UP. While buying the soda, he purchased a lottery ticket as well.
In the drawing for February 3, he became the winner of a cool million.
The Pendergasts will not use up their entire winnings on their home. Bill has been longing for a Mustang, a vehicle he has desired for many years. The family wishes to take a trip also.
‘My wife Carrie and I have five sons,’ he stated. They will ‘certainly go on a family holiday, therefore, they are currently taking steps to update their passports.’
